Last Wednesday, 3rd of April, all three 4th Class’ performed as part of the National Children’s Choir in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght.
Their resounding and captivating performance struck a chord with all whose ears their melodies and harmonies fell on, evoking a deserved standing ovation from the thousand-strong audience.
Accompanied by the Cór Náisiúnta na nÓg Orchestra and conducted by the phenomenal Mairéad Déiseach, our Sopranos and Altos serenaded and crooned and enthralled us like no Christmas Carols or End-Of-Year show you’ve ever seen.
As parents, teachers and other onlookers left the National Arena astounded and bursting with pride, the boys reveled in their achievement. As ten and eleven-year-olds, to have the opportunity to be part of a National Choir and perform in front of over a thousand people – and to execute it with such determination and commitment – is a precocious accomplishment of staggering proportions.
As a school, we would just like to note how humbled and proud we are of this group of boys, who showed such discipline and persistence, and are an absolute joy to work with.

Well done to all our 4th class boys that sang in the national children's choir last night. It was our first time participating in the @ChoirNCC. It was a truly spectacular evening! 🎶 pic.twitter.com/xo3Ji3osMQ
