Getting lots of physical activity: Aim for 60 minutes every day New paragraph
Here are some 30 minute local walking routes to help get you started
Approximately 2.5km;
Starting at Clontarf GAA club on Seafield road, walk up by the Belgrove shop, turning right onto Mount Prospect Road, continue all the way down and turn right onto St Gabriel’s road. After the church, turn right again onto Seafield Road.
Continue back down to the GAA club.
3km walks;
Starting at the wooden bridge, walk down as far as the Baths and back.
OR
Enter St Anne’s Park at the main gates at St Paul’s and walk the length of the avenue and back.
Visit the Millennium Wood and the secret garden on the way down on the left hand side.
Ensuring we get enough rest
Aim for 9-12 hours rest. If you get enough rest you will have improved ability to learn, and overall your body and mind health will be better.
Focus on our well-being
Try forest bathing. Forest bathing is a Japanese practice for relaxation. It is known in Japan as Shinrin- Yoku. Walking quietly amongst the trees whilst observing, listening and hearing nature around you whilst breathing deeply can help boost general wellbeing.
We will be focusing on a different aspect of healthy living each day. Here’s our weeks schedule:
Thursday
Get active with Fionn Gilbert
Friday
Healthy Snack Shop
Yoga/Meditation with Karen Hazzard
